"I didn't start this out of some sort of overly zealous ecological mindset, nor is this supposed to be some sort of political statement. It's about using what we have, logically, and ways we can live better without sacrificing the things we love...

Most importantly, I want to be clear on one thing: I LOVE CARS and what they represent. I want America to keep driving, to keep going, and keep creating new vehicles that satisfy them unapologetically.

The car is not the enemy. In fact, the car is a hero.

I think what the car represents, especially in American culture and history, is a beautiful and inspiring thing.

Our cars are marvels of engineering, the results of tenacious efforts and relentless imagination and hope. Cars represent things far greater than just transportation; to many, they can represent freedom, security and comfort, an expression of self. Cars inspire emotion beyond simple possession, and a sense of comradery you simply won't find anywhere else.

In America, cars represent the spirit of ingenuity and passion that made us the great and innovative nation that we are."
